Ramadan In Towson

It is hard to choose a meal after not eating for 18 hours. Which is what the Muslim people do during Ramadan. If they eat an upset stomach. For Muslim students at Towson. They usually cannot eat until 8:45pm, when the sun sets during Ramadan. They only have 15 minutes until the restaurants closed. The best thing that will help you in Ramadan is cooking with friends.

 

 

During Ramadan Muslim people fast from sunrise to the sunset. After fasting there is Al-eisha pray. So after praying Al-Eisha Muslim pray Al- Traweh which is more than one prayer and it takes more than 30 minutes. There is a jamea in Baltimore Call ‘’Alrahma’’ which Muslim people can pray and fast there in Ramadan, and this is the address for the jamea.  6631 Johnnycake Road, Windsor Mill, MD. For those who will fast during Ramadan 2015 in Towson, there is a restaurant I recommend to go to fasting during. It’s called ‘’Alderah’’ it’s a Saudi restaurant, and they make all kinds of rice and soups. If you like to eat lamb this restaurant is the best, but in Ramadan the restaurant gets crowded, so you have to go there before sunset in order to have table. This is the address.

You don’t have to mess these food in Towson.

You don’t have to mess these food in Towson. There are many wonderful restaurants in Baltimore and Towson, but not everyone knows about it. But I went to many restaurants around, but I didn’t like all of them. Sometime you like type of food but you don’t wont to try for many reason. So there are some restaurant I personally tried and I want to share it with you. Are you interested in eating at the best restaurant in Towson?       

  

Cunningham’s

This is bakery and coffee shop is one of the best place in Towson. They are open from 8-5pm, they offer small healthy sandwiches and fresh juice. They have many type of sandwiches, but the tuna sandwich, its  served with a salad .the tuna sandwich with slice of tomato and chees on English muffin it yummy.

Nando’s Peri-Peri

Nando’s … the tender and tasty Portuguese restaurant. They offer many type of chicken, and I usually order flame chicken Brest boneless medium spacey and I add lemon and herb sous. OMG. Also I tried chicken liver was amazing I cannot forget the taste and I can eat it every week.

Kobe Japanese Steak house and seafood

When I feel very hanger and I want to eat different taste I don’t hastate to eat big unhealthy fat dish with shrimps. a good thing that the chef bring all his staff and cook in front of us and you can feel and smell the butter with harps cocked with rice. If you are a person how love sushi you going to find many type of sushi.

 Is one of my favorite sushi restaurants in Baltimore. This restaurants located in downtown Baltimore inner harbor. The sushi not only delouses the personation is amazing.

This Greek restaurant has a lot of type of seafood selection, but meat is unbelievable specially lamp shank.

Advice for a Cruise

Can you imagine that a Cruise could cost you JUST $370 ?

             Majesty of the Seas is the greatest and cheapest cruise I have seen. It takes 3 days. It is from Miami to the Bahamas, and it stops at 2 islands: Coco cay and Nassau. $370 includes room, free food and snacks all day. My dream was taking a cruise at least once in my life and finally, I achieved this dream.

            Free food all the time. Breakfast and Lunch served as Buffet. Dinner served in High class restaurant. Every day they had a different menu. I enjoyed my favorite Indian food on the second day also, they had seafood all days.   

They have a lot of facilities such as a gym, spa, rock climbing wall and computer games. I enjoyed my time playing computer games while my friend climbed the rock wall.  

          It stops at 2 islands. They are Coco cay and Nassau, but we just stopped in Nassau because the weather changed. I enjoyed sitting down on the beach and drinking pineapple juice inside a coconut. I have been to the Atlantis resort, and it is beautiful.      

I recommend it because you will enjoy it in a short time and for less money, and you will have a lot of fun.

How to simplify student’s life by using smartphone

Does social network make you smart? When students get a smartphone for the first time, they always install Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat, etc. However, they should realize there are consider mobile applications that make their lives easier. By the way, I am an international student in ELC Towson university. My life is not easy because I do not know anything about this area. Also, I have to study hard to be a successful student. Finally, I overcome hard life by using these applications, such as Google Drive, Flashcard, Waze and Yelp.

• Google Drive

  Google Drive is an application that allow you to store your file in the could, share your file and edit document. Also, you can access those files every time and everywhere. I have been studying in Towson University. I have to print a lot of essays but I do not have a printer. Therefore, I have to use a printer machine in the university. In the same way, I do not like to carry a flash drive. The machine can access Google Drive, so I can print my documents easily. Also, I alway edit my documents on my cell phone. 

• Flashcards+

The problem of International students is remembering vocabulary. Also, I have a vocabulary class, and I alway have a quiz. By the way, Flashcards+ is an application that allow you to create your own flashcard on your smartphone. Therefore, I can save money by making flashcard. I can exchange my flash card with friends by sharing and I can practice whenever I want. 

• Waze

Have you ever gotten lost? Me too! Waze is a social navigation app. You may be wondering why I do not use Google map.  I like Waze because it can tell me where the policies, cameras and accidents are. This app helps me to avoid speeding tickets. Also, you can see cars and you can communicate with other driver by chatting.

•  Yelp

Are you hungry? So, let’s open Yelp. Yelp is a great app that helps me find delicious food. The app has a voting system. If the restaurant has five stars, it is a great restaurant. Also, it provides customers review, such as, picture and comment. Therefore, These can help you to make sure what restaurant is suitable for you.

 

Social media is going to be like food and water

                                                                                                                    

Social media such as Facebook, twitter, WhatsApp and others are the language of this age. People who don’t know anything about these probably don’t know anything. Social media is very funny and interesting because we can see pictures, videos and news. We can also communicate with other people and have conversations with them. People consider social media a very important part of their lives, and they can’t live without it. Wherever you go you will find a lot of people taking pictures, texting and watching videos. They don’t care about what happens around them.

 Children also have pages on Facebook or Instagram when they should focus on studying or playing with others. We see also old people have pages, and they are active because some of them find social media the best way to pass the time. This phenomenon is very common and it has benefits and disadvantages.

People’s life is not private anymore. This is one of the disadvantages because with social media people know a lot of information about you. For example, if you get to anyone’s page, you will find pictures of him, his favorite movie, his friends and a lot of information. Social media eliminated privacy which is not good thing. Another disadvantage is that social media distracts people in bad ways. For example, when I come to my classes, I see a lot of students crossing the street while they are looking at their phones. It is very dangerous simply because you will lose your life for a silly reason. However social media has good sides.

Social media keeps you always up to date with everything new. For example, you will know what happens in the world without any effort. You can know about celebrities or business without buying the newspaper. Social media makes the distance close. For example, if you are far away              

from your family, you can talk to them and see them as well. You can enjoy the games and play with others on Facebook.

Social media reflects the development of technology. However, we have to be aware when using it. You have to make a balance in your life, and don’t let social media affect your life in a bad way. Enjoy your life by communicating with new people, but at the same time make sure that social media will not distract you. It is really a good thing to see the world while you are sitting in your home.
